As beautiful as yoga is, can be a little intimidating when you're starting. I am here to provide some inspiration for beginners yoga to help keep you motivated in your practice!
So Hey You! For those of you who are new to Avocadu, my name is Lauren. I own this website with my boyfriend, Alex. He is a certified personal trainer and nutrition specialist, and I'm healthy again yogi type!
At the time I'm updating this post, I'm just two months after my trip with yoga! So I'm being a young baby 🙂 yogi I started my journey with yoga in late February 2016, and I really started getting serious with him in early March.
The posts below all come from my personal account Instagram , which is totally dedicated to my yoga practice and where I put all my tips, tricks, advances and struggles! I have also put a little humor yoga occasionally, as follows: 🙂
I created this message in part to show beginners that even the positions of intimidation not they are as hard as it looks, and I hope to encourage everyone to get out there and try!
Yoga gives its practitioners strength, balance, falls, recovery, flexibility, focus, friendship, and many other benefits you may not have realized ...
most people never really understand the capabilities of your own body. The body can do amazing things with the right mentality and practice. These pictures are meant to inspire see what you can do with your own body.
One last note before we start ... I'm very natural inflexible. Beginners still many other yogis, and I realized that I have to work a little harder than most to increase flexibility in my hamstrings, back and hips. We must take this into account when looking at my pictures and progress. You can do anything with a dedicated practice!

Wild What Pose
This position is ideal for beginners, because it is easy to do and gives your body a great stretch on the back and obliques.
One thing Alex saw when he began taking pictures of me in this position was that my body looked visibly tight and tense at first. He said that aside negative thoughts and "can not" and simply let the movement flow. Sometimes I forget the other half of yoga, which is relax and let go!
Yoga is fun and like life, it should never be taken too seriously. Just go with the flow!

tree pose
This position is very quiet, and it is actually a little more difficult than it seems. You do not 'realize how difficult it is to keep the body straight and balanced until you take a picture and see what it looks like.
I like this simple pose, however, because it teaches me how to improve my balance. Yoga can teach you better balance and how to be smarter. I can attest to that personally, because my father called me "Grace" to grow due to the inelegant way it was!

Low Crescent Lunge
This is my personal favorite pose to increase flexibility. It is one of the best stretches to open the hips, especially if you would like to be able to do the splits. Tilting his arms and chest back, but also a great stretch of the lower back! I practice it daily.

Side Table
This is a great yoga pose for beginners, and is also a very good ab workout . The hardest part of this position was getting my knee so high. People do yoga look so easy sometimes, and then be tested what you think is the simplest pose ...
Yoga can be so incredibly humble that way. It highlights immediately its limitations, but also as possible to break through those limitations with dedication and practice!

totally headstand
I used to think that yoga was just a lot of light stretching and breathing heavy, but then he went backwards! I used to do some gymnastics when I was younger, and transported me back. It is so funny!
I started out against the wall, and then quickly moved to the center of the track. I tried and tried for a straight until I could finally balance my legs up without falling week.
One of the most amazing things about yoga is the amount of control you gain over your body. This position starts to pull your legs up and hoping you do not fall, but eventually learn to control their movement and balance. It is truly amazing!

dancer pose
This is my first picture of progress! There are about two months between these pictures (March 2016 - May 2016). At this point, it had been a little afraid of posting a photo progress.
can be incredibly frustrating when you practice and work on your flexibility for more than an hour every day and you are not seeing the results that were expected. Often you just want to "get there" and do not realize the journey along the way.
I decided to publish this, and I got amazing feedback from my fans and strangers alike. He gave me the boost I needed to continue sharing my progress and inspire others.
A yoga strap is a very valuable tool when working on your flexibility. They are very cheap on Amazon, so check this out if you are interested.

up dog
Yoga can inspire a little creativity seriously! I know because I have personally I have never considered a creative person. My brothers can draw very well, a talent they received from my mother, but I struggle with stick figures ...
said, yoga has totally inspired me to challenge my body and try to take stunning photos in the nature . Alex took this photo in Seabrook, WA when we were vacationing with the family. We just thought we were going to take pictures of the beach until we saw the reflection that was presented in the photos.

Crow pose
This is a pose that fought me for 2 or 3 weeks until I managed to just keep it long enough to take a quick photo. arm strength is something I've always struggled with. I have a slim body by nature, and I have to work very hard to put muscle on.
This position seemed impossible when I started it. Some people say that "this is not a beginner pose!" I disagree. I got in about 2-3 weeks after practicing, and I have learned a lot about the strength and balance along the way.
I encourage everyone to try it! Now I am working on building strength and balance to straighten your arms more. Yoga can help build incredible strength in his body (in a totally different way to "bulk up" or weight lifting can).

Wheel Pose
Yoga will teach you about the vulnerability and open up . This is one of the poses that have difficulty simply because it feels a little uncomfortable in my body. I get tired very easily in the practice of this posture.
This is one that some say it is not a "beginner" pose. Again, I do not agree. You can try using a wall support, or just see how it feels when pushed up from the ground. It may not look pretty until they become more flexible, but still very good for your body!
I heard that you are the positions that you struggle with the more you should spend most of the time. It really helps you overcome your fears and limitations and give you the confidence to push beyond anything.

Handstand
Disclaimer: As impressive as this photo is (or at least I think - I was pretty proud!), I'll let you in on a little secret: Only held for 2 seconds (long enough for Alex to take a picture) before falling into the sand!
I say this to encourage everyone to try it! At 2 months of my trip, I can only hold the handstand for a few seconds. It is another pose that work every day, because I have so much fun trying!
Yoga can teach you how to approach a new and amazing way. I used to "pull me up" in this attitude and try to balance. But one day, someone Instagram inspired me to try a little slower and to focus and concentrate on what I was really trying to accomplish. In the event my handstands improved, and now do not fall in any position without serious concentration.

This is one of the beautiful and amazing things I've learned from yoga. Not only take photos help me see my progress, but it also helps me to inspire me! It gives me confidence, and Instagram has been a very valuable throughout my trip resource.
