My Vegas getaway

Last week, he went to Las Vegas for a few days with my mother and brother Paul to celebrate his birthday. I visited Paul a few years ago , but never Avenue that trip. This was my first time on the strip and boy was it interesting. I laughed a bit on the bus from the airport to the strip as I literally felt like I was on a bus to Disneyland for adults with 30 other adults. It was fun.

After checking into our hotel room in Monte Carlo, the three of us headed to lunch at Gordon Ramsay Burgr. The restaurant was fun and the food was amazing! We ordered hummus to start and then split a portobello burger burger and Hell's Kitchen. Everything was amazing.

After eating, walking around the She strips and headed to the Bellagio. It is such an amazing hotel, and definitely where I would stay next time. We walked around the fountain, we admire Chihuly glass sculpture, and not a little game! I won $ 125 there!

then he approached the palace of Caesar, which was also amazing! We made our way to the Coliseum and the Forum Shops. The sculptures around the hotel were clean and the roof of the departments of the forum was really beautiful.

on the way back to our hotel, we grabbed a frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity. I love the original Serendipity in New York and was glad that my mother and my brother could enjoy a piece of it. Then we headed back to our hotel to relax before a night out.

After walking around the strip again Wednesday night, we made our way back to our hotel and enjoyed the Dragon noodle dinner. I ordered the curry noodles and shared a sushi roll with my brother.

Thursday morning, after getting up at 4:15 am Thanks stay on EST, I went to 6 miles standing with my mother around the strip. It felt great to leave early and get a good workout before the day started.

stopped at the Venetian hotel for a bit and we grabbed some juice before delivering to our hotel. Once back in Monte Carlo, we reserve the spa treatment in the afternoon. My brother and I got massages and my mom got a pedicure. It was so nice to enjoy the steam room, sauna and jacuzzi, as well. It was a treat! After we cleaned up and headed to the house of my brother (who lives in Las Vegas). It was nice to get away from the strip for the night and celebrate my brother's birthday at a local restaurant.

Friday morning, after getting up at 4 : 15 AM again, we head to the gym for a workout. I have worked in the Cybex for 30 minutes and then lifted some weights. The only thing I hated Vegas was all smoke. Even the gym was smoke! I went to NYNY after my workout and enjoyed a hot cup of mint tea before meeting with my mother. We prepare for the day and then we went to eat at Bruxie. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which was absolutely amazing !! I love it!

After lunch we walked back to the Bellagio, was played a little more and buy tickets to see Jerry Seinfeld! We went back and forth on whether or not to see a show, and I'm glad I did! After buying tickets we walked around the strip a little more, they played a little more (earned another $ 170), ate some dinner in La Gloria, and went to the fair.

Jerry Seinfeld was hysterical and seeing it made me love my husband more. Neal is a big fan of Jerry Seinfeld, but never connected me to the show. Jerry Seinfeld did a great job of finding the comedy in real life situations. It was great!

I flew back to DC Saturday morning and enjoyed a quiet Sunday at home with Neal and Magnolia. It was so great to spend time with my mother and Paul and hope to see you again next month in Texas.

Vegas is an interesting place, but boy is a lot of fun! I can not wait to return to Las Vegas with Neal sooner than later. I know we like to go to enjoy some of the finest restaurants and see more of the shows.
