Strawberry Chocolate Brownies made with Greek yogurt
basic chocolate brownies made with a touch of strawberry jam delicious rich flavor added to the treatment of this classic sweet .
Strawberries and chocolate, when combined in a dessert, remind me of two people who should not be together yet are somehow made one for the other. Strawberries are a nutritious fruit and chocolate is chocolate too. We all like, but we know that we can not enjoy our wish every chocolate. So you'd think a delicious nutritious strawberry would be ruined by dipping into a bowl of rich chocolate fattening. It is not the case. Instead it is perfection in one bite. Strawberry and chocolate perfectly complement each other. Basically, chocolate strawberries and vice versa were made. It's just the way it is.
Now let's take the chocolate and strawberries and cook in a rich decadent brownie recipe that is manages to stay on the healthy side in only 158 calories per brownie. Ultimately, this recipe is chocolate and strawberries to find their way in this world and saying "I said."
I think this could be one of my favorite recipes for this dessert. I have the idea of this dark chocolate brownie and cherry recipe I found on Cooking Light . For my version I used my basic recipe and instead fudgy brownie cherry strawberry preserves used.
OMG! These brownies was delicious. Canned strawberries, along with Greek yogurt, you create a moist rich "melt in the mouth fudginess" that will leave struggling to think they were just 158 calories. Strawberry preserves provide a touch of strawberry flavor that is the perfect complement to this brownie.
Like my other brownie recipes that began with butter and sugar. I use my hand mixer to beat the butter and sugar together.
Then add the eggs, Greek yogurt, pure extract, vanilla and strawberry preserves. I mixed until all mixed.
Then I mixed in cocoa powder without sugar. This is what gives the brownies that give rich chocolate flavor.
Then add the flour, baking powder and salt and mix until it was a rich dark brown.
Then I moved slowly in the chocolate chips and the mixture is poured into a baking dish 9 inches sprayed with cooking spray. I used black chocolate chips, milk chocolate but try great too. I took some chips on top before putting it in the oven. That part is optional. Nutritional information is discovered with chocolate chips 1/4 cup only.
Let's Mom! Just looking at this picture makes me want to get one out of the freezer. If I put the brownies in the freezer. Why? Because if I do I'll eat them all! In addition, these brownies taste amazing freezer. Honestly, they taste like chocolate fudge pieces of strawberry.
The key is slightly lower than baking brownies. Mina perfectly baked 23 minutes. The first batch I did in the oven for 25 minutes and came out a little dry so even 1-2 minutes can make a difference. Keep an eye on the brownies. Insert a toothpick or knife in the center and if it comes with brownie crumbs sticking to it and then it does.
