6 things I do every Sunday to stay healthy all week

My Sundays are definitely not a day of rest. Far from there. It is the only day dedicated to getting everything ready for my healthy week ahead. Take a look at my Sunday. It may seem a little crazy to jam-pack in a day this weekend, but I prepared for success. I know that if I do not plan ahead, I'm looking at the skipped workouts and bowls of cereal for dinner.

morning workout

A workout early in the morning is a must for me on Sundays, not only because I teach a class Power Vinyasa 9 am, but even if I did, I still make it a priority to get on an early training. It gives me energy throughout the day, assures me that not skip out, and puts me in the mindset of working out I want to continue throughout the week.

Planning eat

he used to go to the supermarket with a list of healthy foods. I discovered that not only was going to grab things that never got used (RIP bunches of asparagus), but as he had no set plan, every day was a bit stressful trying to climb healthy meals together. Often came home from picking up the kids at 5 p.m. and just made pasta and a bag of frozen vegetables because it was easier.

Now I take time to plan my meals . Breakfast is simple - only a protein and green oats overnight shake o. Lunch is a salad, and I do something basic but healthy for every meal of the week.

Here is an example of my plan weekly dinner:

Sunday Potato Leek and White Bean Soup
Monday quinoa and black beans with green beans and broccoli
Tuesday tofu, vegetarian, and Rice (or Farro) Stir-Fry
Wednesday: maple-farthing Lentils over spaghetti squash
Thursday avocado Pasta With Edamame, tomatoes, and roasted cauliflower
Fri: Black bean, corn and sweet roasted Burritos potato
Saturday pizza mushrooms homemade with roasted peppers, tomatoes, basil and tofu

I even write out on a large board that I keep in my kitchen, so you can take a quick look at it in the morning and know what I have to do to get dinner done later.

Supermarket

Once you know what I'm doing, I hit up the local supermarket. I bring along the kiddos so we can not just spend time together, but then I can also teach them about healthy eating. I think if they help choose what pull the car, you are more likely to eat.

Food preparation

Once you get home and put the groceries away, is a scene in my kitchen with plate, knives, tons of glass containers cutting and vegetables put through my accountant. I make 10 salads for the week (cubes want to eat healthy too!); cut sweet potatoes, cauliflower, broccoli and red peppers roasting; and cut onions and other vegetables to the sauce and white potatoes (for soup that night). I also cook up a cup of quinoa and a cup of rice to use for dinner later that week. Getting done all you can on Sunday makes a big difference in 5PM when I have to make dinner for my hungry family. If I have time, I will also preparation of oats overnight for the week or freezer bags smoothie .

Gym Bag Ready

Apart from the usual dirty clothes, I make a point to wash all clothing training need for the week: sports bras, tops, running and funds yoga, and socks. If I'm really on the ball, I'll fold and put these things in my drawers so you can easily grab a.m. for early training.

training program

training do not happen because for me because working and having a family and home to take care. I have to book a time, and since my schedule may be different from week to week, it helps to look forward and score on my training schedule "dates". It is typically a race with some TRX and yoga of 6 to 7 am Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and then a longer term with my friends mom-runner on Saturday morning and Sunday yoga the morning. If it is written in ink on the calendar, it is more likely to happen.
