Configured for a healthier tomorrow with this Pre-bed routine
The only part of "becoming an adult" really has I been working for me is to have small routines. The routines themselves are malleable, but the structure itself has helped me get organized and prepared for success. Even if I totally mess my life and end in disaster, a routine that I'm going to put back on track. Baby steps.
My morning routine has been a very important factor in setting the tone for a healthy day successfully. However, I have found that a routine bedtime is equally important - not just to relax and get a restful sleep, but to help prepare for the next day. Try these things at night to have a better tomorrow.
Food preparation
Look, sometimes it just means " make a five-minute chia pudding " and store it in large quantities in the refrigerator. Other times it aside Tupperware portable leftovers for lunch the next day (hello, delicious pizza Sunday night!). If I go to adulting advanced level, I'm making a healthy lunch morning meal, and possibly prepare breakfast and dinner, too. I realized that does not take too long to cook some quinoa or chicken, chop some vegetables, or part of a package beaten . Your car tomorrow will fully thank you for it, too.
Pack your gym bag
When your team is ready to go, you have no excuses. No "I forgot my shoes!" or "but ... I can not go to class, I have nothing with me," and you have no delay in the morning trying to pull together. There is less margin for error (ie, forget things) if you are given enough time at night, which is less likely that your dry shampoo or extra socks forget. In addition, you will be mentally prepared for class the next day. Bonus points if booked in advance.
priority to skin care
Morning is always much better when you're not waking up to a fresh grain (ugh!) Or dry skin. I start my evening routine with micellar water to remove makeup, then wipe with a Clarisonic and my favorite series, flush or peeled, then tone, fog, apply serum , and moisturize. If I'm really going for it, I'll make a moisturizing mask at night. It sounds like a lot, but it takes less than ten minutes. I do while I brush my teeth, and helps me wind down mentally, while making sure that I have the next day radiant skin.
diffuse oils
The way I set for a restful sleep begins with the environment, and for me, that starts with fragrance. I set my oil diffuser beside my bed with jasmine and eucalyptus, jasmine or ylang and yang. I also just discovered this amazing blend of patchouli , sweet orange, echinacea, and camellia SukiShufu ; I've been dabbing at my wrists and enter as a full-fledged happiness immediately. You can use this aromatherapy to set the tone for your meditation night , or extends night to help you sleep . A rested = a happier tomorrow.
roll foam
Speaking of stretching, if I do not have foam rolled during the day after my workout, I take a few minutes before bedtime to spread my muscles to relieve cramps and pain from exercise of that day. You will improve circulation, relieve stiffness and pain, and curb the problems that might prevent morning workout happen.
