Harvard studies that included tens of thousands of women and men have shown that regular consumption of meat increases the risk of colon cancer by about 300 percent. Diets high in fat also stimulate the body's production of estrogen. Increased levels of sex hormone have been linked to breast cancer. A recent report noted that the rate of breast cancer among premenopausal women who ate more animal fat (but not vegetable) was a third higher than women who ate less fat animals. A separate study of University of Cambridge also linked diets high in saturated fat to breast cancer. A related study dairy products with an increased risk of ovarian cancer. The process of breaking down lactose (milk sugar) evidently damages the ovaries. consumption of meat a day triples the risk of prostate enlargement. the normal milk consumption doubles the risk and failure to consume vegetables regularly nearly quadruples the risk.
