What I learned from my first week back on Weight Watchers
Last week I joined Weight Watchers. It is funny. This is not the first time joining Weight Watchers, but all the other times I've met I felt discouraged and even ashamed about having to join again. I said, "This is my last time to join Weight Watchers" many, many times. And you know what, this may not be my last meeting with Weight Watchers. I do not feel embarrassed, discouraged, or ashamed to join Weight Watchers again. I'm excited. Honestly, I am grateful.
Weight Watchers has helped to lose weight many, many times! I lost over 50 pounds in 2006, 23 pounds in 2010, and small amounts of weight loss here and there. The program has changed a lot over the years, but I'll Weight Watchers today without the trap of comparison. I'm trying the new program as the only program and be open to learning.
What I learned quickly that the new program is pushing whole foods, packaged proteins. Processed foods are much more points than they used to be. Take a Fiber One bar, for example. I'm pretty sure most points used to be 1-2. Now, a fiber A bar can vary from 4-6 points. For me, I can either have 2 eggs and an apple for 4 points or can have a fiber A Brownie. Still fits in the fiber A Brownie a couple of times this week, but had to take into account that occupy more of my points.
This week I also learned that I can not board my food, eating, and then keep track of my points. I used too many points too often not first follow-up. This is one thing I want to work on this next week. Planning, monitoring, and after eating.
This week I used all my points of each day (42 points) and also used all my intelligence points per week (42 extra points). I used to avoid those extra points, but I'm so glad I ate! I have also gained 71 points of activity not eat again. He had some impressive workouts last week and was very happy!
Wednesday - OrangeTheory
Thursday - Rest
Friday - OrangeTheory
Saturday - 5K race
Sunday - Rest
Monday - OrangeTheory
Tuesday - 30 minutes elliptical in work
what was actually ate the whole place. I will take a few weeks to find out the points of the food we eat and find out what will fit better within a day. I learned early on that I eat a lot of carbohydrates! It is not a bad thing, but carb heavy meals use a lot of points. I quickly had to learn to add more protein and vegetables to eat more food, but reduce my consumption point.
This week I lost 3.4 pounds. It feels good to get through the first week and have more tools as I move in week 2! Especially weekend Memorial Day on the horizon.
Initial weight : 254 pounds
Week 1 weight : 250.6 pounds
total weight loss : 3.4 pounds
what I learned from my first week back on weight Watchers is that I can succeed. My week was far from perfect, but I tracked down what I ate, I enjoyed my workouts, and I enjoyed the trip! I learned a lot and am very happy with my results.
