Baking is one of my most beloved hobbies. Often I find unhealthy baking goodies, which is something I've tried to slow down. Instead of leaving the kitchen for good, I have been looking for healthier alternatives recipes that are not full of outrageously expensive ingredients. It is not always easy to find these healthy recipes, but every time I find one that is really delicious, I need to talk about it! The newest addition to my list of healthy recipes amazing addition is this sweet potato brownie recipe. It is wet, paleo, vegetarian, gluten-free, and Deeeee-licious! This recipe uses natural sweeteners that are much better for you than artificial. What else makes it so healthy?

Sweet Potato:

  • Naturally sweet and improves the regulation of blood sugar

Brownies sweet potato

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mashed sweet potato
  • ½ cup butter smooth nut of choice ( I recommend the almond butter or cashew)
  • maple syrup 2 tablespoons
  • powder ¼ cup cocoa
  • Handful of carob chips (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350 and grease a small cake / bread
  2. mold
  3. in the stove, melt the butter pecan maple syrup
  4. in a large bowl add the mashed sweet potato, butter melted walnut and maple syrup, and cocoa powder and mix well
  5. fold in the chocolate chips
  6. pour the mixture into a greased pan and bake for 20 minutes or until they are cooked
  7. Remove from oven and let cool completely before cutting and cooling

These brownies are best when cool completely. Store in the refrigerator or freezer and enjoy!
