14 June, 2016: A young Canadian engineer, Cindy Gu has developed a breathing device. It is an intelligent belt with a mobile application that draws heavily pranayama, a fundamental aspect of yoga. This is actually no surprise, since Gu is a yoga instructor herself.
Gu said he learned that breathing is a fundamental practice in yoga, but also has a significant impact on our mood, emotions and anxiety levels, so its design a tool to help others to breathe in an improved manner.
Helping breathe better
The device is the belt basically actually the sensor and the tissue, that is the detection of expansion and reduction lower abdomen and having behavioral data. The device is able to learn and understand the user's breathing pattern and when there are irregularities in that pattern, when the device will prompt the user haptic feedback.
That comes through a slight vibration that alerts the user that his breathing is twisted essentially a murmur to let them know it's time to take a deep breath. Gu said he's not breathing properly leads to anxiety that the device will help you avoid.
Gu, along with Louise Thomas, an engineering student, have come up with Ohm Gear Lab to introduce the device in the market addition to the film, which will be part of a mobile application containing the synchronized biometric data a smart phone that allows the user to track how; for example, a prototype healthy breathing has affected his heart rate.Gu took yoga classes to fight just that - the voltage workload of the university. She said she felt very tense and struggling to come up for air.
Gu is currently in Beijing and has begun the process of seeking a manufacturing supply chain. She hopes the tool will be available in December 2017 after a period of extensive testing.
Meanwhile, Gu will visit India for the first time later this month. As it relates mainly to be devoted to be in Hrishikesh, to study yoga root.
