Yesterday , we discuss why participants in the program The Biggest Loser are not exactly role models and inspirational figures for our own efforts. In fact, they could be examples of how NOT to do to get healthy permanently.
Many contestants regained the weight immediately after the show, and these strategies held in the program as a prime example of health were nothing more than a house of cards - theater delude, amuse us, and unfortunately set unrealistic expectations that lead us to look bad in our situation!
According to the doctor of the series, the recommendation to show the contestants is to exercise at least 9 hours per week to maintain your weight loss. That's a huge amount of time to exercise for someone who is also trying to live a normal life and do things regular people.

Nine hours of exercise per week is a great amount of exercise going crazy for someone who is starting! As a reference, I exercise about 5 hours per week.
Why is exercise more and more is not the solution for healthy living permanently , but a set up for failure?
