My eyes are bigger than reality

've all been there. We read the portion size or assume we know what it is, take what we believe is an exact portion size, and call it a day. If you track what you are eating, the portion is introduced into the persecutor and assumes that control is accurate.

2 tablespoons dressing
I will not lie, as important as it is to measure the food I eat, I'm not good about measuring consistently. By custom, and laziness, I tend to eyeball my actions and what I slapped on the face of last week was that my portions are too large. My eyes are bigger than reality! What I think is 2 tablespoons 4 tablespoons really is. I think it's actually 1/2 cup is a cup. And all adds up. Despite knowing the importance of measuring what we eat is to lose weight, the only thing I do not do the best job of accurately capture what I eat.

One of my goals for my second week in Weight Watchers was to keep track of what I was planning to eat before you actually eat it. I did a good job of tracking all before eating, until the weekend. When we were away from home or in a hurry, I just do not take the time to track everything beforehand. It is difficult to keep track beforehand, but now I know I have to leave me a little extra time to track while I'm preparing meals. Soon I learned during my first week in Weight Watchers foods have more value SmartPoints of what I think, so I have to calculate and track before committing to / eat the food.

Hummus and Pretzel Thins
Tracking especially before eating, it is an objective'm still working, but the second level of this goal is to ensure that I measure what I'm eating so I'm precise tracking . Both are easy targets, but are habits that have to be formed. Now I realize that these objectives can have a big impact on weight loss, and that directly impact the number of calories consumed in a day. I learned last week that can not eyeballing the bandage I'm putting on my salad. I can not eat hummus bathtub. Both have serving sizes of 2 tablespoons and let me tell you, when measured out 2 tablespoons, you are not getting a lot. Eat a serving-size it made me realize that my eyes are definitely bigger than reality!

This week I used all my points of each day (42 points) and also used all my intelligence points per week (42 extra points). I used to avoid those extra points, but I'm so glad I ate! I have also gained 137 points activity not eat again. He had some impressive workouts last week and was very happy!

The highlights of week 2 were that ....

OrangeTheory stones out twice
-Went in two very long walks
stones to work out at my gym once
-Tracked everything I ate (not 100% accurate due to lack of measurements)
-Tracked before eating most of the week

this week I lost 1.7 pounds and I feel confident in the slot'm getting into. I'm still learning to navigate the system SmartPoints (I'll share more about this in another blog entry) and do not feel much of a change in my body at the moment.

Initial weight : 254 pounds
Week 2 Weight : 248.9 pounds
Week 2 Results : -1.7 pounds
Total weight loss : 5.1 lbs

Entering week 3, I want to focus on measuring everything as monitoring before eating, and stay motivated / positive. Today and Friday I'm out of town (State College someone?) This weekend we are eating twice with family, and Monday I'm in an event of a work day. Definitely, there are obstacles in the next six days, but I want to stick with the plan and keep track of everything.

I am very happy to be out of the 250 and have my eye on the 230 now
