Doctor's orders: Check the weather before running outside

We love jogging and exercising in the sun; outdoor workouts are one of the best parts of summer! That said, it is important to keep an eye on time and make sure you are kept safe and healthy.

Dr. Larry Goldfarb, DC, CCSP gave us some warnings about votes that is solved when it is too hot or humid. His advice? Always check the weather! We asked to elaborate on specific temperatures, humidity, and why it is important.

This is the golden rule: "Do not run if it is more than 90 degrees or if the humidity is high." Why? Because it runs with humidity it affects the heart rhythm. "Please note that your heart rate increases from two to four beats per minute at temperatures from 60 degrees to 75 degrees and up to 10 beats per minute at temperatures of 75 to 90 degrees," Goldfarb said.

"A woman running - about 30 years -... During a day of 60 degrees with a humidity of 30 percent of your heart rate will be around 145 beats per minute." That is a healthy and safe rate. However, once things hotter and more humid, changes are made. "If the temperature is 90 degrees with a humidity of 70 percent, then your heart rate will increase and it will become 165 beats per minute," he told us. "The problem is that a heart rate of 165 can increase the dangerous side effects."

And with that in mind, we now know why running in cooler weather is much easier - and more comfortable - for more than just your muscles. His heart is working overtime when combined with cardio warm moisture.

So look out for your heart! Try a monitor heart rate to keep under control, but remember, if less than 90 degrees and 70 percent humidity, which is in the clear. Anything above and it is best to opt for a treadmill workout indoors or a nice, air-conditioned studio class!
