I work full time and have 2 children - this is how I happen workouts
I have a confession to make: I'm a fitness editor and I have a hard time doing workouts occur . It's my job, right? It should be easy. I know the benefits of regular sweat sessions and have a lot of practice at hand, but still feels like a struggle. Between working full-time mothering my two pre-teen girls, trying to connect with my husband, and keep up with the latest TV shows. . . well, you know - life is full. Life is busy. It is difficult to adapt to everything.
But I can make it work. I need. Not for professional credibility - although sometimes motivates - but for some other reasons. One of them, have accumulated a lot of injuries in my active life and do not move almost daily, my body aches. Second, I need a good sweat session to help my mood and manage stress - if I have any hope of being happy, better than my blood pumping. I also like cooking, baking, and drink wine, so use regular exercise to maintain my weight.
Here is a summary of my life fitness last week. You can see how I fit in training and where I fall short.
Sunday :. 8 o'clock, 90 minute walk from my hilly neighborhood with a friend and a coffee in hand
4 pm 30 minutes of strength Bodyweight training after shopping and before cooking dinner.
Monday 6 a.m., 25 minutes of cardio after T25 Focus DVD Shaun T . I love a dose of Shaun early morning. I made my husband do the training with me. We were done by 6:30 -. Time alarms were our daughters
Tuesday 8:15 a.m., bike ride of 60 minutes between the school return to start my work day. On Tuesdays, I get to work from home, so I try to use what would be my normal travel time to exercise; I am very grateful for this benefit. My husband made this journey with me. And honestly, if I had not got my bike out, my tires pumped and filled my water bottle, I would have jumped.
Wednesday :. Rest day with five minutes of Pilates ab work and 5 minutes of stretching - my back pain has no real break on rest days
Thursday 6:15 am, strength training 30 minutes of cardio mixed with the use of this video FitSugar Class 300-calorie burn workout video , which begins the ass and I love that. I did it with my husband through YouTube on Apple TV. This time it was the instigator who took us up and exercise.
Friday :. 1 pm, 20 minutes lunchtime yoga - mostly sun salutations and standing postures
6:30 pm 20 minute walk with my dog - I hit as many hills as I could stop and smell leave while only a third of the points that she was interested in smelling.
Saturday was supposed to go swimming and I did not. I took a nap instead. Even though I felt a little guilty about skipping the pool, napping was glorious. I think I needed rest and listen to my body.
This week was fairly typical, and after writing in one place, I feel good about what I've done. Maximum of five to yourself! I try to move as much as possible on weekends and has dated at least an aptitude for either on foot, by bicycle or totally Zumba help. I could do more cardio, but I also nap more too.
