L rectly I've been finding myself in a bit of a "breakfast routine." Although I am in favor of the variety and emphasize the importance of rotating your diet, it seems that when it comes to breakfast, I often go through phases of eating the same thing two days in a row. This can be useful at times, especially when planning meals and making enough for a couple of days in advance. But I've gotten a little tried oatmeal and boiled eggs,). Since these days have been busy (I'm sure you can relate) busco breakfast ideas can do in advance that I know will be nutrient dense and delicious!

Now if you have never tried chia pudding ... I'm sooo excited to try it out! Chia pudding is a healthy, fast 'n Easy meal or snack that is so easy and quick to do. There are many different variations of pudding. flavoring ingredients and the possibilities are endless ... is really very versatile. You basically need chia seeds, liquid and any spices or ingredients to your taste.

Chia seeds are small seeds gray black or white-ish that are super absorbent giving pudding texture. They can act as a binder in baking and cooking to replace eggs when necessary. Chia is very rich in omega 3 fatty acids, which is vital to the mental, cardiovascular health, keep inflammation down, skin, hair and nails, among many other health promoting qualities. Chia is also a great source of fiber and is a source of vegetable protein.

Cacao Cardamom Chia Pudding

makes approx. 1-2 servings

Chia seeds 1/4

Nut 1 cup or seed milk ie almond, hemp, coco

1 tablespoon cocoa powder (raw, raw, no sugar, no milk are better choices)

1/2 tsp cardamom powder

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon maple syrup

draw

1/8 teaspoon pure vanilla

heaping 1/3 cup blackberries (or other berry)

Use a jar or other container with a tight fitting lid. Add all ingredients in the jar. Once all the ingredients are in the container, the screw top jar tightly and shake vigorously. Note that chia absorb liquid very quickly to try to have everything measured out before adding in the jar :) Stir until all ingredients are mixed (it will look like chocolate milk).

let stand in the refrigerator for at least two hours (usually I make at night to be ready for the morning).
