The best evidence to support supplementation is to reduce cases of diarrhea, especially associated with the use of antibiotics. taking probiotics can relieve associated symptoms or shorten the duration of these conditions. There is also the possibility of other advantages, such as increased production of antibodies to certain vaccines, the production of substances that prevent infection, and amelioration of symptoms of eczema.
