These no-bake protein bars are full of fiber, and protein. They are not too sweet and I love to get one of these with my coffee when I'm too busy for breakfast. Them even more tasty black chocolate spraying over them for a special gift
- Ingredients! It makes eight
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup butter nut or seed
1 1/3 cups low-fat milk
1 1/3 cups vanilla protein powder (available at Amazon.com )
1/3 cup dried cranberries
2 teaspoons grated orange peel
Directions:
1) Line baking a 8-inch square pan with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
2) In a food processor, process oatmeal into a fine powder.
3) Add the nut butter and milk jug processor. Pulse until the mixture is smooth.
4) add protein to the pitcher, and pulse until incorporated, stopping to scrape the sides and bottom of bowl once or twice with a rubber spatula. Stir in cranberries and orange zest.
5) Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan. Place a piece of waxed paper or plastic wrap (coated with nonstick cooking spray) the top of the bar mix and use it to extend and flatten the mixture evenly. Cover and refrigerate overnight until very firm.
6) Using the liner, lift the mixture from the pan and transfer to a cutting board. Uncover and cut into eight bars
