Healthy eating is one of my current goals. In this sense, I try to prepare healthy meals for my family - most of the time, they manage to stick to healthy diet menu and only occasionally live as a sinner food
[Yes, of course, on the weekends we practice "sweet-tooth" routines by which we are allowed to enjoy some sweets, snacks and chips, but overall, I think we're in a good way to achieve this healthy eating goal and virtually manage to stay within a family plan proper nutrition.
As part of our healthy eating routine that present the greatest possible amount of healthy food and preparing healthy meals, fresh vegetable. Even the use of a weekly menu, made to measure healthy diet. Following a healthy diet plan might even help me in my goal to lose weight in the future.
Generally, stews and salads are a part of our weekly nutrition. Meats are an occasional treat - this is where my husband and I Alex does not see eye to eye; he believes that meat is necessary for preparing healthy meals while I personally really think too much meat is not good for humans -. especially if you are in proper nutrition and re-build healthy eating habits
Can not say I'm a vegetarian either, but I realized that eating meals more balanced they are light and healthy and prepared with fresh vegetables does not make me feel better, and definitely less bloated. Creating balance between planting base and nutrients in meat is, I think, a key to creating and maintaining a good regimen of feeding the family. Proper nutrition and a balanced diet will not only lead to better health for all of us in the family, but certainly help me with my weight loss battle long term.
Actually, the reason I started this personal quest for healthy eating and a balanced diet is connected to something that happened to me about three years ago - I need to digress a bit before telling the actual event that triggered my change to a healthy diet!
Although sports was a kid, I always was doing and was very active. In my 30 years, I still felt good and did some management of weight loss in recent years.
Then the stress of married life got in gradually, without even realizing that I was overworked and overstressed then too.
Having a job, take care of my family and the combination of working from home and being part of a housewife, increased stress levels. My weight was increasing and urgently needs a diet plan weight loss, but somehow still did not want to face all!
Evenings were the only time to distress and finally relax at the end of the day - eating chips and sweets became a part of my relaxation routine. In a way, it gave me some kind of comfort. healthy eating that I was used to stop being a sportsman or be alone, went out of the window. They say that we all become more relaxed when she married, so I guess that's how my healthy eating slowly went down the drain. I have to add that I do not blame my marriage by the lack of management of weight loss or the will and effort on my part to lose weight - I was just overwhelmed by the new order of things and I think it takes some time to realize what came over me!
What is a real Eating healthy - Diets vs. healthy foods
Many times I had thought it was time for a big change! My struggle was inside - I was torn between my inner beliefs in what true beauty is and external factors that society imposes on us as beauty standards that say stay thin and live a life-diet-diet [!
I think honestly that a woman needs to be appreciated based on their inner beauty and not based on their appearance and therefore I resisted the idea of starting any type of diet.
After having a baby, have spent several years and a weight loss diet was not even an option; simply based on my true belief that my partner had to appreciate me for what I am as a person and not be a Barbie doll that has to fit into certain standards that society expects of us.
Weight loss and creation of a healthy diet plan to lose weight actually became a big problem only when it threatens my health! And endangered to the point that sometimes even I was afraid that I would die and leave behind my family!
This is where we come back to my story 3 years ago - once while getting ready for work, I began to feel a sharp pain in the chest, could not breathe !! !! Every breath I took was like a knife stuck in his chest! I could hardly put my clothes on!
I'm scared to the point that instead of going to work, I ended up visiting an emergency room to see what happens to me. The doctor did a health check and said my blood pressure was too high! I did additional tests and found that was at risk of having a heart attack and become a pre-diabetic! My life upside down! Suddenly, I was prescribed pills for high blood pressure - felt it was not the time to take such a limited and fearful life, being especially a former athlete who once knew what it meant to have the discipline to healthy eating and exercise
I was warned that I had to make a change in my diet - the doctor advised me to start working urgently on the creation of a healthy diet plan and said he had to lose weight in order to become healthy again
This was a wakeup call for me! From the time I was reading every day about heart disease and diabetes - the initial stages of learning my poor health were filled with fear and additional stress. As time passed, I began to follow a healthy diet, weight loss tips, and search for information on very healthy food. Over time, I began to realize that not only stress but also fall into various types of snacks (instead of finding joy in fresh healthy food full of nutrients) had taken me to the point of having to face the results of my poor health.
Obviously, the weight loss was something I refused for years and now was becoming an urgent need !!!! In order to reduce my high blood pressure and sugar, needed to start re-educating myself about healthy eating, healthy food and proper nutrition.
Ironically, I knew in my mind what was and what was not healthy for me, but I did not understand that our body is like a machine - if it receives the proper nutrients, it will simply stop running one day!
I was left with a dilemma - "Is it better to start any diet or weight loss is best introduced by which healthy foods and nutrients high plan healthy meals value will be beneficial to my health and will eventually lead me to weight loss also

So, after so many years of lack of exercise and body image carelessness, I wondered where to find the motivation to start re-programming myself to lose weight ?!
my brother and my parents were, of course, concerned about my health and therefore were trying to support their way - usually we would have conversations about how she should lose weight with the to regain health. they suggested that I cut all the sweets and snacks and introduce a simple, solid nutrition and a lot of fresh and healthy food. When we see each other during the holidays and various festivities and the food was a great temptation for me, they would even get critical of my diet and urged me to eat only healthy foods.
My husband also tries to help me through my moments of weakness, when I am inclined to veer to one side and be tempted into bad eating habits, so I'm getting all the support I need. My most important motivation, however, is my little boy who want to be able to run and sport, with, instead of stepping aside when together on the playground. He is my reason light in times of my inner struggle to lose weight .... but the greatest support and mental changes that occur inside!
How I lost 16 pounds in a very short time - My diet plan
In my search, I rely on my own creativity in preparing healthy meals and make sure you take in all the nutrients the body needs.
try to make a selection of organic and healthy food that can be found at each station - called by some "eat within stations" (somewhat similar to the Mediterranean diet based healthy food locally sourced predominantly). In this way it ensures that the ingredients are fresh and rich in vitamins and minerals sun-induced, compared to those grown artificially.
In order to experiment with healthy foods, as did my healthy eating regime. Actually, it was a very simple program that consists of daily exercise and ensure that eating fresh healthy food every day.
I eat a minimum of 4 types of favorite fruit, had salads mandatory twice a day (morning and evening, all you could eat, with a slice of bread whole meal) grain; for lunch I have always had a cup of soup with 2 sandwiches.
The secret of my diet healthy weight loss was the combination of the following factors:
- I selected only my food healthy favorites (fruits and vegetables)
- assured me of having just salads for breakfast and dinner (and could eat as much as I wanted)
- I made sure I had a variety of exercises during the week (pilates, fitness, spinning, latin aerobics, combat, training ABS, thaibo training), because the objectives and different muscles involved and slims your body
- who made sure that had the consistency in my exercise regimen (I've never missed a workout in the specified period)
with my program tailor-made, healthy foods that got rid of almost 16 pounds to 1.5 months! If I could do it, you can too!
In retrospect, and return to my own dilemma of "Is it better to start any diet or weight loss is best to introduce plan healthy meals by which healthy foods and nutrients high value will be beneficial to my health and eventually lead me to weight loss too?!
for some, this may seem the same, but for me it is not - choose any popular diet would be a weight loss in the short term, while introducing healthy food and preparing healthy meals as part of a healthy eating regimen family is a long-term effect that will have a huge positive impact on the welfare of the whole family!
