Happy Memorial Day! Weekend Summary
Happy Memorial Day everyone! I hope you're enjoying your day, especially if it comes to an end long week for you. We had a weekend absolutely amazing week and I'm looking forward to enjoying the Memorial Day.
My weekend started on Friday with an impressive training in Theory of orange and a productive day at work. Friday night, Neal and I made turkey and zucchini tacos and then observed Glory Road. It was a nice night at home after a long work week.
Saturday morning hung out with my dad, enjoyed breakfast at home as a family (eggs, turkey sausage and some cheese) and then ran some errands before nap magnolia. We ran to Target and Home Depot to pick up some things for some of our projects weekend.
we have not been able to do much work outside our home since they moved in December last year, so I've been looking forward to spending some money and to work on the front of our home. I want to paint the front door, paint the hand railings along our steps, take out all the unpleasant bushes in front of our house, and then redo the flower beds.
The Magnolia nap on Saturday started working on removing bushes and wood shavings bedding front flowers. Since moving in, we've been driving ourselves crazy trying to find the source of the smell of camphor ball our house. We looked everywhere and, after knocking down a wall in the basement bathroom, reduced to under our front steps. Saturday started to remove the wood chips in the flowerbeds and began to dig under the front steps ... all of you !!!! I almost died when Neal began pulling the bag mothballs. three mothballs bag under the front steps were found and I could not believe it !! I'm so glad we finally found the source of the ball camphor smell of industrial estate.
We hit the pause button on our project front garden, out with our neighbors, and then enjoyed the rest of our home Saturday. I made this salad delicious tuna (canned tuna, 1 tablespoon light mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon sweet relish, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper - 4SP) for dinner, saw a gazillion episodes the Walking Dead, and then went to bed.
Sunday morning I woke up early with Magnolia, went for a walk with her and Theodore, and then went to the market farmers Olney after Neal awoke. The Farmers Market Olney is probably my favorite farmers market in the DC area. I love the vendors and design.
Magnolia Elmo also met while we were there, it was super cute. I was so excited and it was absolutely giddy to see it.
Once home, we Magnolia down your nap and then returned to work in the yard. really cut a large shrub, completed the excavation of the ancient land, then began filling the beds with new soil. The patio looks much better now and have not even planted anything yet. It will look as great when its all done.
Thanks to a very long nap, we were able to get almost all done with flowerbeds before Magnolia awoke. We spent the rest of the day inside, we played a ton, and clean the house a little. I also these delicious raspberry crumble bars for Memorial Day. They are so delicious!
This morning I went to OrangeTheory and ran 2 miles 20:28! I was very proud of myself!
Once home, I made breakfast, organized for next week, vacuuming the whole house, and played with Magnolia before his morning nap. We are now relaxing and we are looking forward to an afternoon outdoors before grilling hamburgers for dinner. It will be a great day!
