think about it, have you ever seen a fat vegetarian? Probably not. In fact, for most of us, vegetarian is almost synonymous with lean and healthy, right? And when you start any diet, what it is the first thing experts say you? It is generally increasing amounts of vegetables you are eating and eating limited amounts of meat, especially high-fat red meat and pork.
And what happens when you resume your old eating habits? In general, the weight will come right again. Even the greatest willpower can not overcome the health effects of consuming high-fat meat.
When you eat a diet that is high in dietary fiber, which is primarily if not totally vegetarian, you are naturally healthier. You are feeding your body and get the nutrition it needs to function efficiently. You have more energy and stamina; you wake up easier and fresher. It is easier to exercise, because it is not so overwhelmed by the digestion of fat and high protein excess that comes from eating a carnivorous diet.
Many diets fail because they think of them as deprived of food we like. The trick is to change that thought. There are so many compelling reasons to eliminate meat from our diet, why not forget the weight loss? Focus on eating healthier, or eating in a way that is in harmony with the earth and do not have to subsist on the suffering of animals. You'll probably find you will start losing weight without even thinking about it!
And when you do lose weight, so many other health risks can stay on the road as well. Find your blood pressure falls within a healthy range and risk of type II diabetes may decrease. You'll look better and feel better and probably never go back to their old ways of eating!
