Hey guys, today we are here with a yoga pose, which mostly offers to fight diabetes and Back pain. It is quite easy to perform and one of the eligible asanas. It is called Ardha Matsyendrasana.

What is Ardh Matsyendrasana?

The name of this yoga pose, is made of three words; Ardha = medium; Matsyendra = king of fish and fish matsya = asana = pose. So, it is that fish have king size!

Name English - half spinal twist attitude

How to do this?

Follow the instructions below and do the same.

  1. Sit in Dandasana pose and bend the left leg.
  2. Place the ankle near the hip.
  3. Place the right leg to the outside of the left knee.
  4. Keep straight left hand, while taking near the outside of the right knee and hold the right toe.
  5. Bend your right hand behind your back and look back.
  6. The same must be repeated in the alternate position from the other side too.

Benefits of Ardha Matsyendrasana:

  • People with severe spinal problems should avoid this.
