This chicken bacon ranch meal pan creamy paste is easy to prepare, tasty beyond, and lightened with ingredients authentic.
Listen I know it's bikini season and is likely to want to kill me to share a pasta recipe buuuuuut this recipe could be one of the best recipes I done this year. It is not a joke! I found version on Pinterest and had to give a twist Tammy.
So do not be mad because even bikini season is you know we all need a pasta dish that time emergency when paste is needed. You get me. I have a pasta recipe I will share more this month but then promise that everything is for grilled foods low in carbohydrates and salads ... maybe 🙂
Anyway, this recipe is delicious. I'm kind of phenomenon ranch seasoning mix. I use it all the time in my Slow Cooker Recipe buffalo chicken style, chicken, meatloaf in , and above all you need a little boost flavor. My favorite brand is Simply Organic Ranch Dressing Mix . In fact, I like all condiments and seasonings packages . Yes I can do my own, and have, but it is easier for me to have a few packets of condiments on hand.
I made this recipe in a pan kit. Basically, what I did was prepare food components ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator until it was ready. It could also freeze this.
Working with raw chicken is something I hate to do, so I always try chicken bulk preparation. For this recipe, I cut it into pieces and placed in a plastic bag with 1/2 quart size package and ranch seasoning mix 1 tablespoon olive oil. I crushed around until the chicken was all coated with the seasoning mixture.
Then, in a separate bag put the chopped bacon. Have meat prepared beforehand is half the battle when it comes to putting food on the table.
I put 3 cups of cooked pasta in a gallon size bag and then place the meat with cheese. Originally, it was to make the sauce ahead of time, but I ran out of time. But I was fine with this team the way it was because all the key components were ready to go.
The night I made this recipe started with bacon. Starting with the bacon adds a lot of flavor with the rest of the dish. From bacon and was cut prematurely all I had to do was toss in pan with a little cooking spray.
I put the bacon on one side and then the chicken is cooked in the same pan. I emptied most of the bacon grease out but left enough to cook the chicken. I poured some chicken broth into the pan to scrape bits of flavor with brown pumps at the bottom.
After the chicken was prepared a fundamental base of chicken stock, coconut milk, sugar and a little flour (for thickening up). It can be used in cow's milk. Not because I did not have any in the refrigerator. For all who wonder this has no coconut flavor at all.
** quick note. I cooked the chicken and bacon the day before making the base. I mean cook the whole thing, but ran out of time because I am an overachiever and I tried to do this in the morning before my daughters dance competition. Do not ask. I'm a food blogger and cook as good lighting so you can take pictures. Anyway, that's why the base is not darker. **
Back to the recipe.
I brought this basis simmered and gave it a few minutes to thicken. It is important to beat the broth and milk, as it simmers so the flour does not stick to the bottom.
After simmering for a couple of minutes have been added in the cream cheese. In the kit put cream cheese on top of grated cheddar. That's why you see a couple of spots cheddar there. I broke cream cheese in one hand as it melted.
Do not worry about the cream cheese will not melt completely. It will be once the mixture of the other ingredients and cooking it.
Then I moved in grated cheddar cheese.
Then add the chicken back in. Let simmer for a few minutes until the chicken is hot enough.
then stirred into dough. The paste was also prepared in advance and stored in the kit, so it was cold. I moved up until pasta is hot. A quick note on the pasta. My absolute favorite pasta is whole wheat wheat husks Dellalo Every time I make a recipe with this paste specifically complimenting the pasta -. Even my children. If you struggle to find a good whole wheat pasta tasting give a try. It is very good and is my go to pasta recipes for all creamy macaroni. I buy Wegmans in the organic food section.
At this point stir in bacon bits as well. You can leave a little on the side to sprinkle on top.

It was a great success! I sprinkle some green onions and bacon on top of a small contraction. Mmm !!!
Obviously, it is not low in carbohydrates and will have more calories than a lettuce wrap or no bread roll up but the friends you need a lightweight pasta recipe, then this thing is. Each serving is 1 cup generous and trust me that's more than enough. It has 452 calories and full of fiber and protein.
Creamy Bacon Chicken Ranch Pasta

ingredients
- 1.5 pounds of boneless chicken breasts, skinless, cut into pieces
- ½ package (about 2 tablespoons) mixed ranch seasonings
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk (or cow's milk)
- chicken broth 1 cup
- flour 1 tablespoon
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1 onion powder teaspoon
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 2 ounces of cheese low fat cream
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 3 cups cooked whole pasta shells wheat
- sliced green onion serving (optional)
Instructions
- in a medium bowl combine chicken, ranch seasoning mix and olive oil. Mix until chicken is coated evenly. Set aside.
- In a large, deep skillet sprayed with cooking spray, cook the bacon until crisp, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside. Pour most of the fat of bacon. Leave a little cooking chicken.
- Place chicken in same skillet and cook until browned on both sides and cooked through, about 7 to 10 minutes. Add in a little chicken stock if necessary scrape brown bits. After the chicken is cooked aside.
- Pour the chicken stock and coconut milk in the pan. Add flour, granulated garlic, onion power, salt and pepper. Continue whisking every few minutes while cooking. You want to make sure that the flour does not stick and burn on the bottom of the pan. Simmer until slightly thickened and about 5 -7 minutes.
- Add the cream cheese and break it as it melts, about 5 minutes.
- Add grated cheddar cheese and cook until melted, about 3 minutes.
- Add chicken and cook until heated through, about 3 minutes.
- Add the pasta and bacon pieces and cook until hot, about 3. minutes
- Serve with sliced green onion and bacon bits of leftover
