Check your closets. Kashi brand whole grain bars have been recalled by the company due to concerns of Listeria monocytogenes, said the Agency Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) said in a statement Friday night.
Two products sold nationwide , are covered by the recall
The package of six bars trail mix whole grain, 210 grams with the size UPC 0-18627-43610-2 and pack 18 bar whole grain, 630 grams, with the UPC 0-18627-50406-1.
The agency says Listeria monocytogenes can be difficult to detect because the product can not smell or look bad.
"Symptoms may include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, headache and stiff neck," says the CFIA.
In severe cases, death may result, but there have been no reported illnesses at this time.
