My story: "One day I said 'no more'"
Veronica, like many others, had almost given up the weight loss! For all her life, she was obese and was constantly watching weight loss programs and thought that if she had the same opportunity, maybe she could lose weight as well. However, instead of making the test for a weight loss program, Veronica decided to take a different path.
"When is the last time you looked in a mirror and liked what you saw?" Asks Veronica. Moreover, he adds that three years ago, avoided mirrors hated what he saw.
"I did not set out to become a winner Beachbody Challenge. In fact, I seriously doubt I even get a goal. Facing insurmountable odds my only goal at that time was just to try, try my hardest to lose 50 pounds. "
according to Veronica, his own goal was never become a winner Beachbody Challenge Grand Prize Finalist. What's more, he had no idea such a thing existed.
Furthermore, it is considered that we are living in a time when success and hard work is rewarded greatly. She remembers the years when I weighed 457 pounds and was watching programs like the biggest loser hoping and praying that he could receive the help which contestants were getting.
Veronica emphasizes that prayer and hope is not enough, as necessary. He adds that if effectively applied in the biggest loser, perhaps, could have been chosen. However, did nothing but wallow in their misery until one day she said no more!
According to Veronica, for too long, the black community has adopted a grassroots approach to health and fitness. Moreover, it became acceptable and preferable for black women to be obese. Unfortunately, words like thick, fantastic, etc. are commonly used to describe black women are overweight.
Veronica's mission is to inspire and help black women who want to make a change in their lives and improve their health. Furthermore, it goes on to explain that because of the years of fat acceptance, it became difficult to even know what a healthy body image is. Growing up, she was what is known as "big bones".
Somehow, she always believed this and said that she honestly thought it was a natural size and that she always would be. This is because he was told that almost everyone I knew.
was convinced that I could lose weight, but she never knew she could also have a fit and healthy body. A message is sent to all members of the same or similar situation that they can do the same!
When this woman can do it, so can you; all you need do is look in a mirror and say no more!
This is the beginning of the end of their misery, low self-esteem, and excess weight.
