I'm a mom of autism and crowds scare me. Colas simply terrify me. This does not happen to me when I'm alone mind ...... n. Only when my son is in the trailer. As such, the application for a passport for him is something I've been putting off for a very long time. Reflecting back on our successful outing passport application, I note some useful lessons :.
- When a vising public office- contact them in advance and let them know what their difficulties are foreseen.
- Get previously agree on what to do adaptations and modifications for you.
- Finding an ally in public office can help you navigate the system (a guide on where to go and make sure that you will see knows that particular its challenge)
- do not be afraid try
- not underestimate the ability of your autistic child cope. . The more you take them in different situations, the more prepared they will be for independent life
- Any situation is an opportunity for Autism Awareness
